McCormick is the author of Cross Over: The New Model of Youth Basketball Development and the founder of The Cross Over Movement web site, a community for youth basketball coaches to communicate ideas and ask questions. He now consults with organizations throughout the world on matters of youth basketball and player development.

He is a professional basketball coach, having coached in Ireland and Sweden and led clinics in China, Macedonia, Greece and South Africa.
